African Drumming workshops are both educational and enlightening as they help bring to life authentic African rhythms and culture. As a master drummer, I see the drum as a powerful tool for unity and harmony, appealing to all ages, religions, races, cultures and gender. Drumming is a fun way to strengthen concentration, heighten clarity and sharpen listening, memory and social skills. It can relieve tension and build stamina. As a superb form of physical and mental exercise, drumming promotes coordination, flexibility, endurance and relaxation/stress management skills. Drumming may be therapeutic for those who struggle with anxiety disorders, learning disabilities and behavioural problems. Spiritually, African Drumming is a catalyst for personal power and creative expression, helping to promote cultural and self awareness and community bonding. Article
